We collect the following when you use PayGuard:

Account information: Business name, email, phone, password (hashed)
MFS credentials: bKash/Nagad merchant credentials (encrypted at rest)
Transaction data: Amounts, reference IDs, customer names and phone numbers
Usage data: Login times, API calls, dashboard activity

2. How We Use Your Information

To provide and operate the PayGuard payment service
To process payments on your behalf via bKash/Nagad
To send transaction notifications and invoices to your customers
To send service updates, subscription reminders and support responses
To prevent fraud and enforce our Terms of Service

3. Data Security

Your MFS credentials are encrypted at rest using industry-standard encryption. API keys are hashed and cannot be recovered — only regenerated. All data in transit is protected by HTTPS. We do not store customer card numbers.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:

bKash/Nagad: To process payments on your behalf
Brevo: Email delivery service
DigitalOcean: Cloud infrastructure provider

5. Customer Data

When your customers pay through PayGuard, we collect their name, phone and email solely to process the payment and send a receipt. This data belongs to you as the merchant. We do not use customer data for marketing.

6. Cookies

PayGuard uses session cookies to keep you logged in and CSRF tokens to protect your account. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

7. Data Retention

We retain account data for as long as your account is active. Transaction records are retained for 7 years for compliance. You may request deletion by contacting support.

8. Your Rights
